Out On A LImb - detail
OUT ON A LIMB
©  2004  Patricia Gould

This piece started out as a part of a jacket. When I didn't use it for the jacket, I put it
away and just forgot about it. When I re-discovered it, I knew it would be a good starting
point for a challenge to play with textures, colors and lines.
Since this abstract design is not my usual design path, I felt I was going out on a limb. It
also reminds me of the shape of a knee, and I am still recovering from recent knee
surgery so it had a double meaning.

Various cottons, silks, hand-painted fabrics, embellishment ribbons, sulky metallic
threads, glass and Raku beads.
