ELEPHANT MEMORIES

24” X 24”

I took this haunting photo of the elephant skull and the other photos in Tanzania and
Kenya in 1989. The skull was a strong statement regarding the devastation of a
magnificent species. In 1900, it is estimated that elephants in Africa numbered between
5 – 10 million, today the estimate is about 500,000.
