
| ELEPHANT MEMORIES © 2007 24” X 24” I took this haunting photo of the elephant skull and the other photos in Tanzania and Kenya in 1989. The skull was a strong statement regarding the devastation of a magnificent species. In 1900, it is estimated that elephants in Africa numbered between 5 – 10 million, today the estimate is about 500,000.
